Prior to freelancing, I worked as a writer, editor, and digital communications professional for environmental conservation organizations and colleges of science and engineering. I earned a master's degree in journalism from New York University, during which I worked as an editorial intern at Interview Magazine. I earned a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Virginia.
