I‘m a freelance writer and editor drawn to stories that explore how people interact with nature.
I write about outdoor sports and culture, science, and environmental conservation. My writing has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, Atlas Obscura, Climbing Magazine, The Daily Beast (Innovation), Popsugar, and Blue Ridge Outdoors.
Prior to freelancing, I worked as a writer, editor, and digital communications professional for environmental conservation organizations and colleges of science and engineering. I earned a master's degree in journalism from New York University. I earned a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Virginia.
